The Roots & Roses festival is a happy get-together where the public comes to discover good music in a green and inviting scenery.
2024 will be a turning point and the start of new beginnings for the festival without forgetting its DNA nor its favourite date, May 1st, the day we praise the working people (and good music).
Thanks to its two stages the festival seeks to present the new wave of contemporary rock and pop (on the Roses stage) in combining it with the history of music to be found in the blues, folk, americana or soul (on the Roots stage).
Lessines is situated near the linguistic barrier and prides itself in harbouring a festival that showcases artists from both the Flemish and French part of Belgium and by doing so giving a helping hand to the development of those artists in both parts of the country, as well as presenting international artists to the Belgian public.
At the festival you can enjoy and discover good music but also a fresh cooked meal with tastes of the Belgian and International cuisine served with a nice cold drink, often regionally made. Both meals and drinks are served in re-usable or biodegradable material.
Organised by the Centre Culturel René Magritte, the Roots & Roses festival brings you a day of joy where the public, the artists and the hundreds of volunteers get together and have a great time !
