Big Dave & the Dutchmen is a new top blues band formed in 2023. Big Dave Reniers (known from Electric Kings, Dizzy Dave Band) is a master of the harmonic, a charismatic singer and frontman.
The band’s line-up also includes well-known “masters” in the genre: Roel Spanjers (Luther Allison, Smokey Wilson) on piano and vocals, Mischa den Haring (T-99, Chung Kings) on guitars and vocals, Darryl Ciggaar (Dry Riverbed Trio, Ian Siegal) on drums and vocals, and Dusty Ciggaar (Ian Siegal, The Rhythm Chiefs) on bass guitar and vocals. Each band member contributes to the band’s unique sound. They take you on a journey through the nostalgic sounds of the blues from the 1950s and 1960s. What really sets this band apart is their ability to perform blues songs with feeling and respect for their origins, without simply copying them.

The untitled debut album, recorded and produced by Stef Kamil Carlens (dEUS, Zita Swoon, …) was released in the spring of 2025. It received nothing but rave reviews so far.
